  • Job Description

    1. Develop; document; and maintain data protection standards
    2. Provide support for the application of high-grade commercial and Type 1 encryption (including related services such as digital signatures) to increase the security of agency data
    3. Support activities designed to identify where encryption should be applied to satisfy existing policies and program requirements
    4. Provide assessments of current or planned implementations of cryptographic services to determine proper configuration to provide the intended levels of protection
    5. Provide market research and evaluation to develop recommendations for specific commercial products
    6. Support the integration of products into the existing IT structure
    7. Support the mapping of deployed cryptographic systems upon request
    8. Keep up with new technological developments and to be prepared to support any new government cryptographic needs
    9. Support the implementation of new technologies and enhancement of enterprise capabilities to support risk governance
    10. Work with other customer organizations to understand workflow and data collection/reporting requirements in order to provide the government with risk governance capabilities
    11. Have familiarity with various data formats (e.g.; xml; rtf; etc.) data field; and application interfaces to facilitate effective collaboration with project teams to obtain the required data
    12. Work to enhance and automate data ingesting and reporting capabilities across the enterprise to support risk governance reporting
    13. Provide PGP and Vormetric continuity of operations (COOP) support


    Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.


    8-10 years of related systems engineering experience.



    • Minimum of two years' experience with Vormetric
    • Demonstrated hands-on experience with PGP
    • Experience assessing vendor solutions against encryption and security requirements
    • Experience developing and maintaining system requirements documentation, user documentation, requirements verification and traceability matrices, test plans, and implementation and configuration guidelines
    • Experience performing physical IT maintenance including, but not limited to: completing repairs, maintaining updates, managing configurations, replacing hard drives, updating memory, and resetting hardware
    • Ability to support rotating pager duty
    • Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph at a minimum to be considered


    • Vormetric certification strongly desired
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience and/or certifications with AWS/C2S
