Contract: Army G2 ARIES

Position: Sr Manager, Program – Program Manager (L4)

Location: Springfield, VA                                                                                                                                      




GDIT is seeking candidates to support the US Army G2.  Under the Army Intelligence Information Technology Environment Support (ARIES) task order, the G2 supports numerous Army organizations providing mission critical intelligence tailored to the needs of Army senior leaders throughout the globe.  The ability of these organizations to provide this needed intelligence is dependent on the availability and successful operation of their Information Technology (IT).  The ARIES contract provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, engineering and cybersecurity services to ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the organization’s IT systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Program Manager will:

  1. Be responsible for the successful cost, schedule, and performance of the contract
  2. Serve as the main point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO), the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), the Government Program Manager, and the Contractor’s senior management
  3. Directly contribute to program efforts in several areas, including cost management/avoidance, schedule estimation and tracking, contract performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance activities
  4. Ensure proper performance of tasks necessary to ensure the most efficient and effective execution of the contract
  5. Utilize expert communication skills needed to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents
  6. Be responsible for managing very complex and/or high risk programs, and will not serve in any other capacity. Direct daily staff and task activities to meet client and corporate work objectives. Supervise assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate managers. Serve as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems. Be responsible for coordinating and monitoring subcontractor activities


Desirable Skills / Experience:

  2. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  3. Effective business development skills including proposal development and preparation
  4. Effective communication skills
  5. Detailed knowledge of relevant Government regulations and standards
  6. Possess three (3) years of demonstrated experience in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms such as Earned Value Management and five (5) years direct experience in managing multi-task contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity, as well as experience in leading a multi-vendor environment



  1. Required: PMP certification
  2. Desired certification(s): DAWIA PM III or FAC-P/PM Mid-Level in Program Management


Security Clearance: 

TS/SCI required



Additional Qualifications:

  1. Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
  2. Applicants must be able to deploy to potential hazardous duty locations due to mission requirements. Candidates must be able to maintain compliance with the standards of fitness requirements at all times throughout the period of performance of the task order



High School Diploma/GED with 14 years of related experience, or Associate’s Degree with 12 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 8 years of experience, or PhD with 6 years of experience


10-12 years of related program management experience
