Contract: Army G2 ARIES

Position: Sr Engineer, Systems – Systems Architect (L3)

Location: Kuwait



General Summary:

GDIT is seeking candidates to support the US Army G2.  Under the Army Intelligence Information Technology Environment Support (ARIES) task order, the G2 supports numerous Army organizations providing mission critical intelligence tailored to the needs of Army senior leaders throughout the globe.  The ability of these organizations to provide this needed intelligence is dependent on the availability and successful operation of their Information Technology (IT).  The ARIES contract provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, engineering and cybersecurity services to ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the organization’s IT systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Systems Architect will:

  1. Perform complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering
  2. Provide input for documentation on new or existing systems
  3. Determine system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility
  4. Analyze user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
  5. Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
  6. Support the development of cross functional or large-scale automated information systems to include enterprise architectures
  7. Design system architectures to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements and provide for present and future cross functional requirements and interfaces
  8. Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of system development from analysis of mission needs to verification of system performance
  9. Perform evaluation of system alternatives and assessment of risks and costs


Desirable Skills / Experience:

  1. Comprehensive knowledge of system architectural principles, methods, and techniques
  2. Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment



  1. DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
  2. Required Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent
  3. Desired Computing Environment certification: CCNA, MCSA 2012, Solaris 10, Linux+, VCP5, etc.


Security Clearance:

TS/SCI required


Additional Qualifications:

  1. Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
  2. Applicants must be able to deploy to potential hazardous duty locations due to mission requirements. Candidates must be able to maintain compliance with the standards of fitness requirements at all times throughout the period of performance of the task order


High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate’s Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 4 years of experience


5-8 years of related systems engineering experience
